About Thayang
Most of what turns up under aesthetic serif font needs work before it is usable. Thayang is the version that does not. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict. It comes from Perfectype. The save count is still small at 9, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus.
We would use it the way the listing hints — branding font — and that is also where we would start if you are trying it for the first time. A serif is for reading, so judge it by a full sentence rather than a word — the rhythm only shows up across a line. We check two things before any download like this: the preview at full size, and whether the licence covers what you plan to do with it.
Filed as classy serif font, craft svg font, cricut serif font and decorative serif typeface. Tags are a rough instrument, but a consistent set like that usually means the file is what it claims. The searches that bring people to this shelf are serif fonts and script and serif font combinations — this one sits in the middle of that group rather than off to the side of it. Its home here is Serif Fonts — open that shelf if you would rather compare a few before choosing.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
