About Solven
The reason Solven is here is bold serif and nothing else. It does not try to cover the next three jobs along, and we would rather it did not. No reviews either way, so the preview is doing all the work on this one. It is vladfedotovv's work. It sits at 10 saves — too few to call it popular, which is exactly why it is worth a look before everyone else finds it.
If you want one use for it, take branding font: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. Serifs are for reading, so we look at a full sentence in the preview rather than a single word — the rhythm shows up only in a line of text. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.
The words on the listing are chunky display font, chunky serif, craft svg font and creative font, and they are worth reading as a description rather than as tags. We track what people actually type before they land here: serif fonts and script and serif font combinations. If that is roughly what you were after, this font is in the right family. We filed it under Serif Fonts for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
