About Slug Slab
The reason Slug Slab is here is alternates serif font and nothing else. It does not try to cover the next three jobs along, and we would rather it did not. With 2 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size. Credit goes to agnyhasyastudio. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict.
Put it to work on apparel design font first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. Serifs are for reading, so we look at a full sentence in the preview rather than a single word — the rhythm shows up only in a line of text. Before downloading, give the preview a full-size look and read the licence tab — two clicks, and they answer most of what the listing leaves unsaid.
Filed as bakery branding font, beverage branding font, bold headline font and bold slab serif. Tags are a rough instrument, but a consistent set like that usually means the file is what it claims. We track what people actually type before they land here: serif fonts and script and serif font combinations. If that is roughly what you were after, this font is in the right family. On this site it lives on the Serif Fonts shelf, so it also turns up for people browsing serif fonts rather than searching for it by name.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
