About Skamber
Skamber is our avant-garde branding typography pick, and it is a pick rather than a default — we looked at the shelf twice before leaving it on. It sits at 5 saves — too few to call it popular, which is exactly why it is worth a look before everyone else finds it. The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge. The designer behind it is Muflieart.
Look at the face at body-text size before you look at it big. Most serif disappointments happen at eleven point, not at forty-eight. The obvious job for it is branding font, and obvious is right here — the file was built around that and it shows. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether avant-garde branding typography is really what you are getting.
Filed as branding, classic, classic font and classic typeface. Tags are a rough instrument, but a consistent set like that usually means the file is what it claims. Nearby you will see serif, which is where to go if this one is nearly right but not quite. We keep it under Serif Fonts, which is where to look if you want the rest of the serif fonts we have gone through. What this shelf gets asked for is serif fonts and script and serif font combinations. That list is why these files are here and not some prettier ones.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
