About Serava
What we like about Serava is how little it tries to be everything — it does 60s style, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Serif Fonts shelf. The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge. With 3 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size. The designer behind it is Wow Magic.
Serifs are for reading, so we look at a full sentence in the preview rather than a single word — the rhythm shows up only in a line of text. Our own plan for it is 70s style, because that is where this kind of font does the least arguing with you. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
