About Orchid
What we like about Orchid is how little it tries to be everything — it does bold font, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Serif Fonts shelf. The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge. The save count is still small at 3, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus. The designer behind it is OliviaFontCo.
A serif is for reading, so judge it by a full sentence rather than a word — the rhythm only shows up across a line. Put it to work on cricut fonts first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. Spend the minute on the preview at full size — it is where you find out whether bold font was the description or the aspiration.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
