About Malkist
Malkist is our alternate font pick, and it is a pick rather than a default — we looked at the shelf twice before leaving it on. Credit goes to Perfectype. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict. It has 218 saves behind it — enough that we trust the demand, not just our own taste.
If you want one use for it, take beauty: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. Serifs are for reading, so we look at a full sentence in the preview rather than a single word — the rhythm shows up only in a line of text. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.
The words on the listing are bold, branding, canva and casual, and they are worth reading as a description rather than as tags. Judged against the requests we see — serif fonts and script and serif font combinations — this is a middle-of-the-road answer, and middle of the road is usually what the job needs. Its home here is Serif Fonts — open that shelf if you would rather compare a few before choosing. Related wording on the shelf: serif. Same shelf, different phrasing, and the sort options above work across all of it.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
