About Kingston Roman
If alternates is what you came for, start here — Kingston Roman is the plainest reading of that request on the Serif Fonts shelf. It is Storytype Studio's work. The listing shows 5.0 out of 5 on 1 review, which is better evidence than the thumbnail. Only 73 people have saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's.
A serif is for reading, so judge it by a full sentence rather than a word — the rhythm only shows up across a line. The obvious job for it is beautiful, and obvious is right here — the file was built around that and it shows. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.
The listing files it under branding, bridal, calligraphy and card — those are the words it gets found by, and between them they describe the file better than any category name does. The searches that bring people to this shelf are serif fonts and script and serif font combinations — this one sits in the middle of that group rather than off to the side of it. We keep it under Serif Fonts, which is where to look if you want the rest of the serif fonts we have gone through. The same shelf also answers to serif, so widen the search there before giving up on it.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
