About Henkau
We put Henkau on the Serif Fonts shelf because advertising is the kind of thing people come here looking for, and this one answers it without a detour. The designer behind it is Sealoung. The listing shows 5.0 out of 5 on 1 review, which is better evidence than the thumbnail. It sits at 28 saves — too few to call it popular, which is exactly why it is worth a look before everyone else finds it.
Serifs are for reading, so we look at a full sentence in the preview rather than a single word — the rhythm shows up only in a line of text. Our own plan for it is alternates, because that is where this kind of font does the least arguing with you. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every font on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.
Search for branding, business, corporate and elegant and this is the file those words land on; they are all the same font, filed under whichever phrase you happened to type. On this site it lives on the Serif Fonts shelf, so it also turns up for people browsing serif fonts rather than searching for it by name. The searches that bring people to this shelf are serif fonts and script and serif font combinations — this one sits in the middle of that group rather than off to the side of it. People after this usually search serif too, and the shelf is sorted so those all land in the same place.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
