About Hazel
Hazel earned its place here for one reason: it is a straight answer to artistic font, and straight answers are rarer in this font catalogue than you would think. 5.0 out of 5 from 1 review — a small sample, but it is the sample there is. It sits at 19 saves — too few to call it popular, which is exactly why it is worth a look before everyone else finds it. It comes from grifvixcolor.
Our own plan for it is bold font, because that is where this kind of font does the least arguing with you. Look at the face at body-text size before you look at it big. Most serif disappointments happen at eleven point, not at forty-eight. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every font on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.
The listing files it under branding font, canva font, commercial use and creative typography — those are the words it gets found by, and between them they describe the file better than any category name does. Nearby you will see serif, which is where to go if this one is nearly right but not quite. On this site it lives on the Serif Fonts shelf, so it also turns up for people browsing serif fonts rather than searching for it by name. We track what people actually type before they land here: serif fonts and script and serif font combinations. If that is roughly what you were after, this font is in the right family.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
