About Gisela
We put Gisela on the Serif Fonts shelf because alphabet is the kind of thing people come here looking for, and this one answers it without a detour. It sits at 49 saves — too few to call it popular, which is exactly why it is worth a look before everyone else finds it. No reviews either way, so the preview is doing all the work on this one. Credit goes to Graphicxell.
If you want one use for it, take awesome: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. Look at the face at body-text size before you look at it big. Most serif disappointments happen at eleven point, not at forty-eight. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether alphabet is really what you are getting.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
