About Gikan
Gikan is our abc pick, and it is a pick rather than a default — we looked at the shelf twice before leaving it on. The buyers who left a word rate it 5.0 out of 5 — 1 review, all of them on the listing. It is maxs_graphic's work. The save count is still small at 3, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus.
Look at the face at body-text size before you look at it big. Most serif disappointments happen at eleven point, not at forty-eight. We would use it the way the listing hints — alphabet — and that is also where we would start if you are trying it for the first time. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether abc is really what you are getting.
Type art, awesome, background and bold into the search above and this one comes back — the same font under four different habits of phrasing. What this shelf gets asked for is serif fonts and script and serif font combinations. That list is why these files are here and not some prettier ones. If none of this quite fits, the adjacent requests are serif and they stay on this page. Its home here is Serif Fonts — open that shelf if you would rather compare a few before choosing.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
