About Garphel
We put Garphel on the Serif Fonts shelf because artdeco is the kind of thing people come here looking for, and this one answers it without a detour. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence. qrdesignstd is the name on the listing. With 3 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size.
We would use it the way the listing hints — baseball — and that is also where we would start if you are trying it for the first time. Look at the face at body-text size before you look at it big. Most serif disappointments happen at eleven point, not at forty-eight. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
