About Frezine

If branding is what you came for, start here — Frezine is the plainest reading of that request on the Serif Fonts shelf. No saves on it yet — new files sit like that for a while, and it says nothing about the file. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence. The designer behind it is Typia Nesia.

Look at the face at body-text size before you look at it big. Most serif disappointments happen at eleven point, not at forty-eight. We keep it filed mentally under chic, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether branding is really what you are getting.

Type classic, condensed, decorative and digital into the search above and this one comes back — the same font under four different habits of phrasing. We filed it under Serif Fonts for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end. We track what people actually type before they land here: serif fonts and script and serif font combinations. If that is roughly what you were after, this font is in the right family. Related wording on the shelf: serif. Same shelf, different phrasing, and the sort options above work across all of it.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
