About Candy
Candy is our boutique logo font pick, and it is a pick rather than a default — we looked at the shelf twice before leaving it on. The save count is still small at 6, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus. The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge. Graphicxell made it.
A serif is for reading, so judge it by a full sentence rather than a word — the rhythm only shows up across a line. We would use it the way the listing hints — classic — and that is also where we would start if you are trying it for the first time. We check two things before any download like this: the preview at full size, and whether the licence covers what you plan to do with it.
The listing files it under classy serif font, editorial, editorial typography and elegant — those are the words it gets found by, and between them they describe the file better than any category name does. How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
