About Black Hungry
What we like about Black Hungry is how little it tries to be everything — it does advertising, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Serif Fonts shelf. There are no reviews on it yet, so judge it by the preview and not by a score that does not exist. The designer behind it is thomasaradea. Only 22 people have saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's.
Put it to work on alternate first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. Look at the face at body-text size before you look at it big. Most serif disappointments happen at eleven point, not at forty-eight. Spend the minute on the preview at full size — it is where you find out whether advertising was the description or the aspiration.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
