About Beach Dates
Most of what turns up under 7ntypes needs work before it is usable. Beach Dates is the version that does not. Credit goes to Situjuh. Only 31 people have saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict.
Serifs are for reading, so we look at a full sentence in the preview rather than a single word — the rhythm shows up only in a line of text. We keep it filed mentally under aesthetic headers, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.
The words on the listing are beach dates, beach dates font, boutique branding and boutique brand strategy, and they are worth reading as a description rather than as tags. Nearby you will see serif, which is where to go if this one is nearly right but not quite. Judged against the requests we see — serif fonts and script and serif font combinations — this is a middle-of-the-road answer, and middle of the road is usually what the job needs. We keep it under Serif Fonts, which is where to look if you want the rest of the serif fonts we have gone through.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
