About Wedding Simple
What we like about Wedding Simple is how little it tries to be everything — it does 4th of july, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Script and Calligraphy Fonts shelf. The save count is still small at 4, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus. Credit goes to PiPi Creative. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence.
The obvious job for it is beauty font, and obvious is right here — the file was built around that and it shows. The join between letters is the whole craft in a script face, so we look at a word with a repeated letter before judging anything else. Before downloading, give the preview a full-size look and read the licence tab — two clicks, and they answer most of what the listing leaves unsaid.
It answers to best font, black friday font, branding font and brush font, and that spread of wording is worth noting: a file tagged this consistently usually behaves the way the preview suggests. How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
