About Lemon Pantry
Most of what turns up under brush font needs work before it is usable. Lemon Pantry is the version that does not. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence. It comes from Creatype Designer. Only 1 person has saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's.
Type your own words in the preview box before you decide: script fonts look beautiful in the designer's sample and fall apart in all caps or with a double letter. The obvious job for it is classy font, and obvious is right here — the file was built around that and it shows. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether brush font is really what you are getting.
It answers to calligraphy font, cursive font, display font and edgy font, and that spread of wording is worth noting: a file tagged this consistently usually behaves the way the preview suggests. Judged against the requests we see — script fonts, cursive numbers, fancy cursive fonts and elegant vs script font — this is a middle-of-the-road answer, and middle of the road is usually what the job needs. How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
