About Ladybug

We put Ladybug on the Script and Calligraphy Fonts shelf because beauty font is the kind of thing people come here looking for, and this one answers it without a detour. andikastudio made it. The save count is still small at 9, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence.

Type your own words in the preview box before you decide: script fonts look beautiful in the designer's sample and fall apart in all caps or with a double letter. We keep it filed mentally under bold font, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. Spend the minute on the preview at full size — it is where you find out whether beauty font was the description or the aspiration.

Filed as brochure font, brush font, bundle font and calligraphy font. Tags are a rough instrument, but a consistent set like that usually means the file is what it claims. We track what people actually type before they land here: script fonts, cursive numbers, fancy cursive fonts and elegant vs script font. If that is roughly what you were after, this font is in the right family. Related wording on the shelf: script, handwritten, hand written, signature and cursive. Same shelf, different phrasing, and the sort options above work across all of it. On this site it lives on the Script and Calligraphy Fonts shelf, so it also turns up for people browsing script and calligraphy fonts rather than searching for it by name.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
