About Cursive
Cursive is our caligraphy font pick, and it is a pick rather than a default — we looked at the shelf twice before leaving it on. 36 saves mean nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up. It comes from putrasyahreza00. No reviews either way, so the preview is doing all the work on this one.
Put it to work on display font first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. Type your own words in the preview box before you decide: script fonts look beautiful in the designer's sample and fall apart in all caps or with a double letter. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.
Search for handwritten font and script font and this is the file those words land on; they are all the same font, filed under whichever phrase you happened to type. We keep it under Script and Calligraphy Fonts, which is where to look if you want the rest of the script and calligraphy fonts we have gone through. The neighbouring searches are calligraph, hand written, signature and brush — worth a look if this particular font is close but not quite it. Put next to the usual requests here — script fonts, cursive numbers, fancy cursive fonts and elegant vs script font — this one covers the plain version of the job, which is the version people need most often.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
