About Voltara
If action sports font is what you came for, start here — Voltara is the plainest reading of that request on the Sans Serif Fonts shelf. There are no reviews on it yet, so judge it by the preview and not by a score that does not exist. The save count is at zero, so there is nothing to lean on but the preview and our reading of it. It is HipFonts's work.
We check the numerals and the ampersand first, because a sans serif with a weak set of figures will bite you on every price list and date. We keep it filed mentally under apparel font, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every font on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.
It answers to athletic font, athletic typeface, automotive font and baseball font, and that spread of wording is worth noting: a file tagged this consistently usually behaves the way the preview suggests. What this shelf gets asked for is sans serif fonts and fonts sans serif. That list is why these files are here and not some prettier ones. You will find it among the sans serif fonts, sorted next to everything that does roughly the same job. The same shelf also answers to sans, so widen the search there before giving up on it.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
