We put Vintago on the Sans Serif Fonts shelf because 1950s font is the kind of thing people come here looking for, and this one answers it without a detour. It sits at 23 saves — too few to call it popular, which is exactly why it is worth a look before everyone else finds it. No reviews either way, so the preview is doing all the work on this one. CraftedType Studio made it.
The numerals tell you more than the letters do. A sans with weak figures will undercut every price list, date and phone number you set in it. Our own plan for it is advertising font, because that is where this kind of font does the least arguing with you. How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
