The reason Vellarwick is here is apparel font and nothing else. It does not try to cover the next three jobs along, and we would rather it did not. 1 save means nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up. There are no reviews on it yet, so judge it by the preview and not by a score that does not exist. It comes from Colourful.
The numerals tell you more than the letters do. A sans with weak figures will undercut every price list, date and phone number you set in it. Our own plan for it is bold font, because that is where this kind of font does the least arguing with you. We filed it under Sans Serif Fonts for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end. Most of the traffic on this shelf comes in on sans serif fonts and fonts sans serif, and we picked the files on it with those requests in mind rather than by browsing prettiest-first. How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
