About Trankco
What we like about Trankco is how little it tries to be everything — it does artistic, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Sans Serif Fonts shelf. Arendxstudio is the name on the listing. With 45 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict.
Put it to work on authentic first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. We check the numerals and the ampersand first, because a sans serif with a weak set of figures will bite you on every price list and date. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.
Filed as branding, charming, classic and creative. Tags are a rough instrument, but a consistent set like that usually means the file is what it claims. The neighbouring searches are sans — worth a look if this particular font is close but not quite it. Most of the traffic on this shelf comes in on sans serif fonts and fonts sans serif, and we picked the files on it with those requests in mind rather than by browsing prettiest-first. We keep it under Sans Serif Fonts, which is where to look if you want the rest of the sans serif fonts we have gone through.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
