About The Dead Walk
The reason The Dead Walk is here is bold font and nothing else. It does not try to cover the next three jobs along, and we would rather it did not. Credit goes to Illustration Ink. 7 saves mean nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict.
We look at the lowercase l, the capital I and the figure 1 side by side; if two of them are the same shape, the face will cause trouble. The obvious job for it is creepy font, and obvious is right here — the file was built around that and it shows. We check two things before any download like this: the preview at full size, and whether the licence covers what you plan to do with it.
Filed as graveyard font, halloween font and handwritten font. Tags are a rough instrument, but a consistent set like that usually means the file is what it claims. Judged against the requests we see — sans serif fonts and fonts sans serif — this is a middle-of-the-road answer, and middle of the road is usually what the job needs. The neighbouring searches are sans — worth a look if this particular font is close but not quite it. We filed it under Sans Serif Fonts for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
