Outrun is our activewear font pick, and it is a pick rather than a default — we looked at the shelf twice before leaving it on. The review tab is empty. We check the numerals and the ampersand first, because a sans serif with a weak set of figures will bite you on every price list and date. We keep it filed mentally under apparel font, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every font on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.
Filed as block font, bold font, branding font and cinematic font. Tags are a rough instrument, but a consistent set like that usually means the file is what it claims. It is shelved with the rest of the sans serif fonts, and that is the quickest way to see what else sits in the same register before you settle on this one. How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
