What we like about Nighost is how little it tries to be everything — it does cover, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Sans Serif Fonts shelf. Fikry Alfatih is the name on the listing. Only 16 people have saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's. The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge.
We look at the lowercase l, the capital I and the figure 1 side by side; if two of them are the same shape, the face will cause trouble. Our own plan for it is dark font, because that is where this kind of font does the least arguing with you. How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
