About Muffie
What we like about Muffie is how little it tries to be everything — it does 70s font, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Sans Serif Fonts shelf. Credit goes to Almairatype Studio. The save count is still small at 1, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus. No reviews either way, so the preview is doing all the work on this one.
We check the numerals and the ampersand first, because a sans serif with a weak set of figures will bite you on every price list and date. If you want one use for it, take 80s font: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether 70s font is really what you are getting.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
