About Isolated
Isolated earned its place here for one reason: it is a straight answer to all caps font, and straight answers are rarer in this font catalogue than you would think. It comes from Pian45. 2 saves mean nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict.
If you want one use for it, take apparel font: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. We check the numerals and the ampersand first, because a sans serif with a weak set of figures will bite you on every price list and date. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every font on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.
Type blocky font, bold font, branding font and chunky font into the search above and this one comes back — the same font under four different habits of phrasing. It is shelved with the rest of the sans serif fonts, and that is the quickest way to see what else sits in the same register before you settle on this one. The same shelf also answers to sans, so widen the search there before giving up on it. The wording people arrive with is sans serif fonts and fonts sans serif, and we would rather shelve for those requests than for how a thumbnail looks in a grid.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
