About House
House earned its place here for one reason: it is a straight answer to barista font, and straight answers are rarer in this font catalogue than you would think. It comes from Almairatype Studio. The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge. 3 saves mean nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up.
The obvious job for it is bold display, and obvious is right here — the file was built around that and it shows. We look at the lowercase l, the capital I and the figure 1 side by side; if two of them are the same shape, the face will cause trouble. We check two things before any download like this: the preview at full size, and whether the licence covers what you plan to do with it.
Search for bold titles, cafe branding, casual lettering and clothing brand and this is the file those words land on; they are all the same font, filed under whichever phrase you happened to type. We filed it under Sans Serif Fonts for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end. Put next to the usual requests here — sans serif fonts and fonts sans serif — this one covers the plain version of the job, which is the version people need most often. People after this usually search sans too, and the shelf is sorted so those all land in the same place.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
