About Grilled Cheese
Ask for bold font and you get a hundred near-misses; Grilled Cheese is one of the few that answers the question as asked. Only 5 people have saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict. Illustration Ink is the name on the listing.
We look at the lowercase l, the capital I and the figure 1 side by side; if two of them are the same shape, the face will cause trouble. Put it to work on cafe menu font first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.
Type casual craft font, chunky display typeface, chunky font and craft svg font into the search above and this one comes back — the same font under four different habits of phrasing. Its home here is Sans Serif Fonts — open that shelf if you would rather compare a few before choosing. The wording people arrive with is sans serif fonts and fonts sans serif, and we would rather shelve for those requests than for how a thumbnail looks in a grid. Nearby you will see sans, which is where to go if this one is nearly right but not quite.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
