About Gratlor
We put Gratlor on the Sans Serif Fonts shelf because athletic is the kind of thing people come here looking for, and this one answers it without a detour. There are no reviews on it yet, so judge it by the preview and not by a score that does not exist. It is IqsiartStudio's work. It sits at 2 saves — too few to call it popular, which is exactly why it is worth a look before everyone else finds it.
We look at the lowercase l, the capital I and the figure 1 side by side; if two of them are the same shape, the face will cause trouble. The obvious job for it is baseball, and obvious is right here — the file was built around that and it shows. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every font on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.
Type baseball jersey, basketball and bold sans serif into the search above and this one comes back — the same font under four different habits of phrasing. The wording people arrive with is sans serif fonts and fonts sans serif, and we would rather shelve for those requests than for how a thumbnail looks in a grid. It is shelved with the rest of the sans serif fonts, and that is the quickest way to see what else sits in the same register before you settle on this one.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
