About Grasso
Grasso is our 1980s style pick, and it is a pick rather than a default — we looked at the shelf twice before leaving it on. With 5 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size. Credit goes to unio.creativesolutions. There are no reviews on it yet, so judge it by the preview and not by a score that does not exist.
The obvious job for it is 80s design, and obvious is right here — the file was built around that and it shows. The numerals tell you more than the letters do. A sans with weak figures will undercut every price list, date and phone number you set in it. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.
The listing files it under album cover font, bold font, book cover font and boutique branding — those are the words it gets found by, and between them they describe the file better than any category name does. We keep it under Sans Serif Fonts, which is where to look if you want the rest of the sans serif fonts we have gone through. Related wording on the shelf: sans. Same shelf, different phrasing, and the sort options above work across all of it. The wording people arrive with is sans serif fonts and fonts sans serif, and we would rather shelve for those requests than for how a thumbnail looks in a grid.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
