About Graphite
What we like about Graphite is how little it tries to be everything — it does advertising, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Sans Serif Fonts shelf. Credit goes to Zafara Studios. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence. 7 saves mean nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up.
We look at the lowercase l, the capital I and the figure 1 side by side; if two of them are the same shape, the face will cause trouble. The obvious job for it is art, and obvious is right here — the file was built around that and it shows. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether advertising is really what you are getting.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
