About Genia
The reason Genia is here is advertising and nothing else. It does not try to cover the next three jobs along, and we would rather it did not. It is Productype's work. 6 saves mean nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict.
We look at the lowercase l, the capital I and the figure 1 side by side; if two of them are the same shape, the face will cause trouble. We would use it the way the listing hints — banner font — and that is also where we would start if you are trying it for the first time. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every font on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.
Filed as branding and corporate. Tags are a rough instrument, but a consistent set like that usually means the file is what it claims. We track what people actually type before they land here: sans serif fonts and fonts sans serif. If that is roughly what you were after, this font is in the right family. Nearby you will see sans, which is where to go if this one is nearly right but not quite. On this site it lives on the Sans Serif Fonts shelf, so it also turns up for people browsing sans serif fonts rather than searching for it by name.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
