About Fresh Thinking
What we like about Fresh Thinking is how little it tries to be everything — it does autumn, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Sans Serif Fonts shelf. No reviews either way, so the preview is doing all the work on this one. The save count is still small at 36, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus. miraipa made it.
We check the numerals and the ampersand first, because a sans serif with a weak set of figures will bite you on every price list and date. If you want one use for it, take back to school: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every font on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
