About Fantasy Autumn
Fantasy Autumn is our 7ntypes pick, and it is a pick rather than a default — we looked at the shelf twice before leaving it on. The designer behind it is Eightde. No reviews either way, so the preview is doing all the work on this one. With 10 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size.
If you want one use for it, take aesthetic quote font: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. We look at the lowercase l, the capital I and the figure 1 side by side; if two of them are the same shape, the face will cause trouble. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether 7ntypes is really what you are getting.
Type autumn font, banner font, branding font and card font into the search above and this one comes back — the same font under four different habits of phrasing. Nearby you will see sans, which is where to go if this one is nearly right but not quite. We keep it under Sans Serif Fonts, which is where to look if you want the rest of the sans serif fonts we have gone through. Judged against the requests we see — sans serif fonts and fonts sans serif — this is a middle-of-the-road answer, and middle of the road is usually what the job needs.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
