About Evottes
Evottes earned its place here for one reason: it is a straight answer to advertising font, and straight answers are rarer in this font catalogue than you would think. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict. 4 saves mean nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up. It comes from Twistystd.
We check the numerals and the ampersand first, because a sans serif with a weak set of figures will bite you on every price list and date. If you want one use for it, take balanced proportions: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.
Search for branding font, business branding, business font and canva and this is the file those words land on; they are all the same font, filed under whichever phrase you happened to type. We filed it under Sans Serif Fonts for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end. The wording people arrive with is sans serif fonts and fonts sans serif, and we would rather shelve for those requests than for how a thumbnail looks in a grid. If none of this quite fits, the adjacent requests are sans and they stay on this page.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
