About December
December earned its place here for one reason: it is a straight answer to all caps font, and straight answers are rarer in this font catalogue than you would think. With 1 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size. It comes from CraftedType Studio. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence.
The numerals tell you more than the letters do. A sans with weak figures will undercut every price list, date and phone number you set in it. Put it to work on bold sans font first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.
The listing files it under branding font, clean font, condensed display font and condensed sans serif font — those are the words it gets found by, and between them they describe the file better than any category name does. The wording people arrive with is sans serif fonts and fonts sans serif, and we would rather shelve for those requests than for how a thumbnail looks in a grid. We keep it under Sans Serif Fonts, which is where to look if you want the rest of the sans serif fonts we have gone through.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
