Most of what turns up under artdeco needs work before it is usable. Cexoma is the version that does not. There are no reviews on it yet, so judge it by the preview and not by a score that does not exist. 7 saves mean nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up. We keep it filed mentally under baseball, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. The numerals tell you more than the letters do. A sans with weak figures will undercut every price list, date and phone number you set in it. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether artdeco is really what you are getting.
The words on the listing are block, car and college, and they are worth reading as a description rather than as tags. How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
