About Astorisa
What we like about Astorisa is how little it tries to be everything — it does artdeco, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Sans Serif Fonts shelf. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict. It comes from RagamKata Studio. Only 6 people have saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's.
If you want one use for it, take branding: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. The numerals tell you more than the letters do. A sans with weak figures will undercut every price list, date and phone number you set in it. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.
It answers to artdeco font, branding font, cinematic and cinematic font, and that spread of wording is worth noting: a file tagged this consistently usually behaves the way the preview suggests. The wording people arrive with is sans serif fonts and fonts sans serif, and we would rather shelve for those requests than for how a thumbnail looks in a grid. Related wording on the shelf: sans. Same shelf, different phrasing, and the sort options above work across all of it. We filed it under Sans Serif Fonts for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
