About Ague Black
This is the one we reach for when the request is balanced proportions. Ague Black keeps it simple, which is why it sits here rather than in the reserve pile. zafira.type made it. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence. 1 save means nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up.
The numerals tell you more than the letters do. A sans with weak figures will undercut every price list, date and phone number you set in it. We keep it filed mentally under black font, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether balanced proportions is really what you are getting.
Search for ague black, branding font, clarity font and clean font and this is the file those words land on; they are all the same font, filed under whichever phrase you happened to type. If none of this quite fits, the adjacent requests are sans and they stay on this page. Its home here is Sans Serif Fonts — open that shelf if you would rather compare a few before choosing. Most of the traffic on this shelf comes in on sans serif fonts and fonts sans serif, and we picked the files on it with those requests in mind rather than by browsing prettiest-first.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
