About Witchveil
What we like about Witchveil is how little it tries to be everything — it does alive designs, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Display and Poster Fonts shelf. It sits at 3 saves — too few to call it popular, which is exactly why it is worth a look before everyone else finds it. 5.0 out of 5 from 1 review — a small sample, but it is the sample there is. It is ABC Font's work.
A display face has one job: be read big. We judge it at poster size and ignore how it behaves in a paragraph, because it will never be in one. If you want one use for it, take beautiful touch: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. Before downloading, give the preview a full-size look and read the licence tab — two clicks, and they answer most of what the listing leaves unsaid.
It answers to branding, craft svg font, creepy font and creepy halloween typeface, and that spread of wording is worth noting: a file tagged this consistently usually behaves the way the preview suggests. Put next to the usual requests here — vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts — this one covers the plain version of the job, which is the version people need most often. It is shelved with the rest of the display and poster fonts, and that is the quickest way to see what else sits in the same register before you settle on this one. The same shelf also answers to display, poster, headline, vintage and retro, so widen the search there before giving up on it.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
