About Voxel
This is the one we reach for when the request is 16bit. Voxel keeps it simple, which is why it sits here rather than in the reserve pile. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence. Credit goes to OWPictures. It sits at 2 saves — too few to call it popular, which is exactly why it is worth a look before everyone else finds it.
We would use it the way the listing hints — 8bit — and that is also where we would start if you are trying it for the first time. A display face has one job: be read big. We judge it at poster size and ignore how it behaves in a paragraph, because it will never be in one. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every font on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.
If you came in looking for arcade, binary, bit and block, you are in the right place — the listing carries all of those, which is the clearest sign the designer built it for that job rather than retitled it afterwards. If none of this quite fits, the adjacent requests are display, poster, headline, vintage and retro and they stay on this page. Put next to the usual requests here — vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts — this one covers the plain version of the job, which is the version people need most often. It is shelved with the rest of the display and poster fonts, and that is the quickest way to see what else sits in the same register before you settle on this one.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
