About Vlada
Vlada is our 70s retro display pick, and it is a pick rather than a default — we looked at the shelf twice before leaving it on. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence. It is mail.skygroup's work. It is quiet on saves so far, so take this as our opinion rather than the crowd's.
Check the capitals and the spacing between them — display type lives or dies on how a short word in caps sits together. We would use it the way the listing hints — all caps design — and that is also where we would start if you are trying it for the first time. We check two things before any download like this: the preview at full size, and whether the licence covers what you plan to do with it.
Filed as artisan outline font, billboard typography, bubble display typeface and capital letters. Tags are a rough instrument, but a consistent set like that usually means the file is what it claims. We filed it under Display and Poster Fonts for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end. The same shelf also answers to poster, headline, vintage and slab, so widen the search there before giving up on it. Most of the traffic on this shelf comes in on vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts, and we picked the files on it with those requests in mind rather than by browsing prettiest-first.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
