About Vandal Soul
This is the one we reach for when the request is album covers. Vandal Soul keeps it simple, which is why it sits here rather than in the reserve pile. The listing shows 5.0 out of 5 on 1 review, which is better evidence than the thumbnail. The designer behind it is Cikareotype. It sits at 16 saves — too few to call it popular, which is exactly why it is worth a look before everyone else finds it.
Check the capitals and the spacing between them — display type lives or dies on how a short word in caps sits together. We keep it filed mentally under bold font, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether album covers is really what you are getting.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
