About Urban Maxim
What we like about Urban Maxim is how little it tries to be everything — it does adobe font, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Display and Poster Fonts shelf. The buyers who left a word rate it 5.0 out of 5 — 1 review, all of them on the listing. The save count sits at 100, and a number that size usually means the file does what its preview promises. It is Cikareotype's work.
The obvious job for it is advertising font, and obvious is right here — the file was built around that and it shows. Check the capitals and the spacing between them — display type lives or dies on how a short word in caps sits together. Spend the minute on the preview at full size — it is where you find out whether adobe font was the description or the aspiration.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
