About Toil and Trouble Too
What we like about Toil and Trouble Too is how little it tries to be everything — it does bat font, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Display and Poster Fonts shelf. The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge. Credit goes to Illustration Ink. Only 12 people have saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's.
A display face has one job: be read big. We judge it at poster size and ignore how it behaves in a paragraph, because it will never be in one. If you want one use for it, take black cat font: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.

How to use this font
- Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
- Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
- Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
- Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
