About Sunshine Notes

What we like about Sunshine Notes is how little it tries to be everything — it does calligraphy font, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Display and Poster Fonts shelf. Dreamink (7ntypes) is the name on the listing. Only 25 people have saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's. The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge.

We keep it filed mentally under canva font, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. A display font only has to work big, so we judge it at poster size and ignore how it looks in a paragraph — that is not its job. Before downloading, give the preview a full-size look and read the licence tab — two clicks, and they answer most of what the listing leaves unsaid.

The listing files it under cheerful font, classic font, craft font and cricut font — those are the words it gets found by, and between them they describe the file better than any category name does. We track what people actually type before they land here: vintage fonts commercial license, display fonts, vintage fonts canva, number fonts vintage and retro canva fonts. If that is roughly what you were after, this font is in the right family. Nearby you will see display, poster, headline, vintage and retro, which is where to go if this one is nearly right but not quite. It is shelved with the rest of the display and poster fonts, and that is the quickest way to see what else sits in the same register before you settle on this one.

How to use this font

  1. Download the font from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — you normally get OTF and TTF of the same face, plus a licence file.
  2. Install the OTF if your software gives you the choice: it carries the alternates and ligatures that make a script face look handwritten.
  3. Restart the app you design in — Canva, Photoshop, Cricut Design Space and Word all read the font list once, at launch.
  4. Read the licence before a paid job: personal and commercial use are priced apart, and a logo often needs the extended one.
